Conversation statuses are used to track the progress of a conversation. Use them to keep track of which conversations you haven’t seen, still need work from your side or to mark conversations as completed, so you can better organize your WhatsApp They are also used to determine wether a broadcast or flow should be sent to a conversation or not.
By default Broadcasts and Flows are only sent to conversations that are in the Closed status. This is so that the conversation with an agent is not interrupted. However, you can override this behaviour by setting the has_priority option to true when sending a broadcast.
When a flow ends with a “Assign Team” or “Assign conversation” step, the status will be In Progress and the conversation will be marked as unread.
